The Saints and the Tribulation

Many of us grew up hearing about a pre-tribulation rapture, the teaching that Jesus will take His people out of the world before the great tribulation begins.

This view has become so common that some believe it’s the only biblical option. I’ve noticed in conversations with many believers about the pre-tribulation view, most admit they’ve never actually studied the Scriptures on this for themselves.

Instead, they’ve simply heard it preached by a pastor or repeated by others, and taken it as truth without testing it in the Word.But over the next few days, I’ll be sharing a series of short posts to carefully examine this teaching, compare it with Scripture, and ask some honest questions.

(1) Does the Bible really teach that the rapture (gathering of the saints) is imminent, that it can happen at any moment without any signs?

(2) Did Jesus or the apostles ever promise that the saints would escape the tribulation?

(3) What did the early believers actually expect when they studied eschatology? This won’t be an attack on brothers and sisters.

My goal is to seek truth, sharpen discernment, and encourage endurance in Christ till the end.Because the reality is this if the doctrine of imminency (the “any-moment” return) does not stand up to Scripture, then the foundation of the pre-tribulation position crumbles. And if that’s the case, we need to be prepared for what Jesus truly warned us about the days of tribulation, endurance, and victory through Him.
